Carcinogenicity

Carcinogenicity refers to the ability of a substance to cause cancer. DrugBank automatically retrieves information from the admetSAR prediction tool, using a table format to display various predicted properties of a drug. This database predicts the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity of drugs (ADMET) 1. One prediction that admetSAR makes is whether a drug is a carcinogen or non-carcinogen. This information can be found in a drug entry on DrugBank under the "Predicted ADMET features" section.
